Anyone with info on the intel HD 2500 and light use for emulators or 2d/side scrollers that require directx IE Limbo, Super Meat Boy, Shank.. I don't intend to utilize it for 3d gaming but don't want it to be a slide show for the occasional steam grab 2d.... Do these games require actual graphics horsepower? I remember zsnes requiring dx for the screen filters back in the day.
Sorry for the partial double post. I poised this question in the HTPC section and can only hear the crickets so far...

IIRC, Super Meat Boy basically runs on anything. I'm not familiar with the other games however.

As for emulators you should be fine. The 2D emulators (8bit & 16bit systems) don't significantly leverage the GPU anyhow.

2d is fine, 3d can bring it to its knees. PS2 emulation which I tried once on my 2500 ran at about 1fps.
