Weird..... today we got to see a cop with PTSD from the LA riots downing quite a few beers.... what else do you know?
Nothing unfortunately. I wish I did. That was a weird coincidence though.

I liked this episode. We finally got to see some of Antigone's demons. We knew all of the characters had them and we finally got a close look at hers.

Farrell's acting has been superb. Wish I could say the same of Vaughn. He's not really cutting it in this role, which is a shame.

Anyone else make anything of the full moon reference? I wonder if they're really going to tie this in with the previous season.

yeah, very good episode. Figured at the end of the previous episode, that all of the past setup was for the actual investigation, in the final 3 episodes.

well, there's much hope for sure. Still, I've thoroughly enjoyed this season so far, despite any criticism. It's a pleasure to watch either way. 😀

Yeah I've enjoyed it, will have to wait till the season is over until I gather an opinion.

I thought that was bs too, but then rationalized it by thinking they just established a perimeter when he escaped. Maybe every tunnel exit for a few blocks were covered.

I'm wondering how they will wrap up all the unanswered crap within 90 minutes.

At this point, just answering a couple questions would be a miracle.

ive watched every show and will watch the finale, but i must be retarded because there are so many characters im having a hard time understanding what the plots are. Russians, armenians, diamonds, eyes wide shut whores, cops getting kicked off the force after a huge shoot out. cops now fugitives, black female cop is found dead. Vaughn skipping the country because of getting bought out...

It's nuts and you are not alone. This makes the writing of Sons of Anarchy look like Shakespeare in comparison.

Ninety minutes to go...to wrap all of this up. Blackmail, polluted land deals, dead cops, VV torching the casino Jason Bourne style, dead people, gang warfare, orgies, powerful men, contracts being studied at the Motel 6 stolen from orgy house, Velcoro dealing with his past demons, drunk mayor, etc.

Frankly I'd be impressed if they would tell us who wears the raven head.

I have a feeling they will just get everyone in a room and solve it John Woo style. I think the raven head dude was brother from the two kids that were orphaned. Seems like they are getting revenge for their parents death.

hah! there are more plot lines than in a show spanning several seasons

The tunnel scene was silly even pre-exit.
Okay fine, Woodrugh turns the tables on the baddies. They were ready to kill him even before that. But then instead of ensuring his own safety for the moment by collecting their guns and/or having them cuff each other or indeed even shooting them in self-defense, he runs away and then ends up killing most of them before being killed.

My biggest problem with it is that
they were all former elite military guys yet they didn't think maybe they should turn off the flashlights on their guns, because that's how Woody was finding them and killing them? You'd think if they were so elite, they'd systematically hunt him down in darkness, knowing the light would give their positions. It's a fictional show, but still, that was stupid.

There are 8 episodes (thank god).

We all suspend reality when watching tripe such as this...but...

1) Killed off the military dude with same sex blackmail pictures. Who cares?
2) Foreshadowing of Ani's knife skills. Didn't see that coming.
3) Velcoro goes on a binge, yet is able to function a couple hours later.
4) Velcoro calles the ex, basically says screw it the kid is yours.
5) Vaughn/Frank is running around and realizes he is screwed. I'm not the gangsta type but torching the place and telling my wife to get out of Dodge would have repercussions at the marital level.
6) Let's run drugs through number 5 via Mexicans.
7) There is a magical hard drive floating out there.
8) Hippie commune stuff.

I could go on...it is a mess. Feels like blue balls in my heart, then the rats came.

I dunno man, when they added flashlights in Battlefield people never turned them off. And if you get flashed in the eyes it messes you up. It can give up your position, but there are benefits as well. I think Riggins was just better than those guys, and he would have killed them in any scenario.

EDIT: And BTW, what a bitch move by the bad guys to call the cops on McAdams for killing the security guard. Its an illegal sex club with drugs and conspiracy going on, and they are going to bring the cops in on this? They would have thrown that guard in a ditch and moved on. Unless they are trying to use the APB to get their hands on her to retrieve the documents.

The RL blinding effect would be insignificant at distance and meanwhile give away postitions as said. Yeah, the APB would seem more trouble than it's worth and one would think it could be handled off-record even with neighbouring departments as a matter of "sought for questioning".

Also,
while the corrupt cops (and their politician masters) have everything to lose, the ex-mil security only risk their jobs in corrupt security. Again, they were spared both their own lives and being involved in the murder of an honest cop so it's a fair trade to let him go and probably resign the next day (now that's "must-see TV"). 😉

Another annoyance was the weaselly ginger henchman (Velcoro's "baby daddy") cowering from Frank like he was The Terminator -offering no resistance despite seemingly being slowly beaten to death (especially given murder is part of their business). 🙄

Yet another thing, the rationale for not reporting to the federales was weak (i.e. glossed over).

I haven't really read the threat (because if you guys dislike it so much, why bother watching and then posting about it?), but it is starting to tie into the first season. The guy who was searching Caspre's house and shot Velcoro, the strange man taking a child McAdams in the woods and molesting her?

Also, an APB puts them in a situations where they can't go anywhere for help. Handling it under the table leaves them available to seek help. The APB stops them.

I dunno...I dont mind scumbag criminals doing their thing, but no one likes a rat. If they're going to play that card then I'd be a bitch too and start sending copies of the contracts and evidence to the press and the FBI. Actually, they should probably be doing that anyway... haha They have enough dirt to get the members of the conspiracy to separate for awhile until things blow over.

LMAO!

OK, couple of things...I don't think this season has been tripe in any way, but it's still quite messy. Blue balls--god that was horrific.

But I still submit that the rat speech was glorious. One of the better moments in the season, tbh....Vaughn's overall performance notwithstanding.

They don't have enough. They have some conjecture and some contracts for land deals. They don't have enough (yet) to really show a conspiracy. Even if they went to the media, the conspirators are highly connected. Nothing would come of it.

yeah, the flashlights don't really bother me. This is why hunting dear with your headlights is illegal, no?

And yeah, I think the documents are more important than anything, so the corporate sex cult pulls out all the stops here.
