Anybody side-load hbomax APK on a FireTV 4k Stick?

How well did it work?

Any problems?

Fed up waiting for the official app on Roku or FireTV.

I have not tried it yet but I want to. I'm just miffed that my Firestick remotes keep dying on me.

Worked perfectly fine. Peacock acted weird from what I remember. Worth a shot. By the way I got the Chromecast Google TV last week and for $50 bucks it's worth a shot - it integrates all of your sources into a very useful guide (like the apple tv does), which makes me prefer it to the more expensive shield i have. You can toggle sources too so search reseults are limited to services you have, which is very cool.

Been using it for a few weeks now, no complaints. Wish Amazon/HBO would get over this ridiculous tiff.

Sometimes the remote seems to move left or right two clicks for each single click but that's the only issue I've seen

I've been considering a new Chrome cast for that reason

BTW, when HBO MAX launched AT&T admitted they already had the apps ready and waiting but they were still in negotiation with Amazon and Roku profit-sharing. But leave it to AT&T to fuck up everything.

Yep, it's very useful being able to
Two new HBOMAX streamers have emerged recently. The Tivo Streamer 4k and the Chromecast Google TV both sold at $50.

They both run Andriod TV so they are most likely very similar.

i have both and the chrome cast is def the better bet. Smoother, slicker UI and the combined guide is part of the Home Screen and not a separate app over standard android tv. In a bubble the TiVo is fine but def a 2nd class product compared to the chrome cast

That is the info I am getting so far. My only caveat is that it is a Google Product.....:smilingimp:
