Spoiler from previews for next week...

Omar is back next week! I love how they slowly brought back characters from the previous seasons...Dennis the boxer, Wee-Bey's (barksdale crew guy in jail) son is Nay with the ponytail??!! McNulty was briefly in last week's episode, he turned down re-joining the unit. Love this show!

this is awesome...I had thought they cancelled the wire - but I'm so stoked its back!! now if i only had HBO HD...

Those with cable, see if you can get The Wire: The Game on OnDemand.

"This special on HBO's The Wire explores the show's creative process, authentic storylines, cast diversity, and its Baltimore setting."

They ran it leading up to the first episode, and it was very very good ahnd gave a lot of insight into the show in general and the upcoming season.

Also, the Wire has been picked up for the 5th season, which is great news.

Wow this thread got some life going...

Anyways last night show was another great one... they drop the subpoenas; the Mayor got caught with his pants down three times! 1) Getting the BJ, 2) with the subpoenas, 3) with Carcetti at the debate talking about the killed witnessed.

But no Mcnulty?

Its going to be interesting how they fit Mcnulty into the show this season. I wish he was sitll in Daniels unit though. I can't wait to watch the next episode later today. Ondemand is awesome.

Mcnulty technically is still in Daniels unit. Daniels is Major of the Western District. I bet McNulty will move up again. I'm especially interested what happens to Bodie and also Ex-Major "Bunny" Colvin when he joins Prez at the school.

For anyone who wants to know, AICN has a episode synopsis for the rest of the season up. I didn't read it but someone might.

Mmm, it usually starts out slow. It'll pick up. You guys know McNulty and the other cop that's on the Mayor's detail will be back. Once they start hammering down on Marlo! Oh yeah, I'm wondering how they are going to bring back the cop turned teacher! Are they just going to leave him as a teacher?

Yeah its going to pick up. Thats how all the seasons were, they start off slow and then build up. Thats just how the writers do it, similar to a book with intro, middle and conclusion. I must admit I'm not digging this seasons version of the starting song 'down in the hole' though.

Roland "Prez" Pryzbylewski is going to stay as a teacher and Ex-Major Howard "Bunny" Colvin will join him in the school.. thats all i have to say.

The tempo is too slow. The girl(s) can sing and have talent...it's just paced too slow. I do agree with you.

I love The Wire, I watched the first 3 seasons in about a week. I saw the first ep of the 4th season and it looks like its going to be another great one.

Anyone remember a series on Showtime called StreetTime? It did'nt last but it was really good, it had the same gritty feel that The Wire does.

I never saw that but there was another series called "The Corner" on hbo that was more of a real life baltimore documentary by the same people who created the wire. I haven't seen all of them but I think they might be on hbo's ondemand right now.

Yeah I saw that one, it was pretty good. Sad, but still an interesting look at how some people live.

Lots of McNulty last night and also Beadie Russell got some air time.
I can't wait till they start finding the hidden bodies that Marlo is making... that you Major Crimes leader is going to get it...

New ep (newer than the one that aired last night) available on demand today. Dammit...gotta wait till the woman gets home from work to watch it.

No spoilers please. Thats only show i look forward to on Sunday nights.

Hi I'm calling for Mr. Lyon... This is the Zoo and you want to speak with the Lion? Ha ha that was funny joke.

Man McNulty has gone soft...

I can't wait to watch the new new episode tonight!

It looks like Marlo can pose a bigger threat to Omar than Barksdale did and I can't wait to see what happens there. Even more bodies are gonna be dropping and I think Lester is going to figure out how marlo's hiding them soon.

This week is going to be good for me and TV with the Wire heating up and Lost starting on Wed!

I wonder why Prop Joe told Omar about the card game, after he made a deal with Marlo. Maybe it was to show Marlo that not everyone is scared of him.

It?s a great show; it always gets awards and good reviews. But unfortunately always doesn't get the ratings that they want. Most people dismiss the show and because if quiet often a very slow plot.

As you can see from the ATOT response, its not very popular on here.

It's not something you can just jump in and watch an episode and really have an idea what's going on. You have to appreciate it at the season level not episode by episode. I wish Sopranos was structured more like The Wire.

yeah, if you start trying to watch it now, you will be completely lost! Wait, isn't that a show on ABC?🙂
