I wonder if it will win any Emmy's.

Geeze, I have zero idea. I'd never even heard of it until it came on the tube the other day. It deserves a few, though. 'Twas a through and through gem.

I hope some people read this and check it out, then come post some comments, this is one of those films I think everyone should see.

Agreed.

Unlike some of the movies I like, I believe a wide swath of OT'ers would be highly impressed with this flick.

It was really moving to see. I actually went and searched for his journal, and was pleased to find the movie followed the journal closely (with a few minor changes.)

after reading this thread i went home and watched it on hbo on demand. i enjoyed it, even though i think kevin bacon should've judo chopped the tsa screener in the neck.

Heh, man I even wanted to ring that guys neck.

My Pops said it was a really well done movie with a great performance by KB. I just saw a little bit while I walked by. I wish I was in as good of shape like Kevin Bacon 🙁

Still on the tivo so i'll check it out soon.

Arggghhh I admit it. I teared up on more than several occasions.
What a depressing, yet uplifting show.
Wow...

LOVE the scene when they are driving and the cars get in line with them.

Saw an article about it recently, though I had watched it when it debuted. EXCELLENT film and worth watching by everyone, regardless of political affiliation or position on the war. It's very moving and uplifting while sad at the same time. Kevin Bacon's performance is excellent and worthy of recognition.

This movie is another reason why I'll continue to pay for HBO. Band of Brothers, The Wire, Rome, Taking Chance...there are others, but that network produces so many excellent shows and features.
