So I read the whole thread. It sounds to me that the family only assumed it wasn't him because they say he didn't have a computer. So dismissed HawkeyeNJ as being him and everyone just took it for fact and let it go.

He could have very easily been doing the scans at work, or at a library or a friends house. Seems that user name was only used for about 7 months on any forum. So it may have been a recent thing for him to have use of a computer. His family may not of known of his recent computer use.

-The guys name was Bill. Short for William most likely.
-His address was only 20 miles away from Williams address.
-As mentioned he used a PO box at times so he could have lived in one place and gotten mail 20 miles away also where he frequents. Or possibly used a second address for deals he got to double down on deals. (could have been near a friends house where he used his computer)

-He was also a veteran on the 187th Airborne Infantry, 3rd Battalion, Delta Company in Vietnam at the same time and mentioned the same battles

William Cashman was 101st airborne which is confirmed that the 187th was organized under the 101st Airborne Assault Division.

-He majorly slowed down posting in August.
-Stopped posting altogether for two weeks about up to 9/11 and was never heard from since 9/11. Although one log in shows after 9/11 which could have been from someone opening the forums from the computer he used. I've often used other peoples computers only to find they are logged in still.

William Cashman was on his way to Yosemite. So if he was HawkeyeNJ it's very likely that he slowed down posting the deals here to prepare for his Yosemite trip. Possibly finding deals to buy gear for hiking and camping, setting things up with his friend who also died on flight 93 on 9/11. He may have even stayed with his friend for some time until they boarded that plane. Hence the two week absence.

HawkeyeNJ mentioned a sister though saying he only has one sister to her when she got in a dangerous fight and was worried. But that could have meant only one of her.

There is way to much of a connection for it to not be the same guy. And to disappear at the same time. I think it was him. Maybe we should try opening it up again for searching. More info than ever is being archived and search engines are better. Maybe somebody can find more out that they couldn't back then.
