Having trouble with WinXP Pro and NTI Backup NOW! Deluxe

I just bout NTI Backup NOW! Deluxe for winXP and when I try making a Full drive image to CD or Image file on another HD It crashes more than half way through. I was doing it under Admin. with all background progams off. I turned off everything including Norton AV so there was nothing running in the background. I tried it once to a CD w/ compression, once to an image file w/ compression, and once to image file with no compression. It crashed all three times. Anyone got this to work?
