Having trouble with Netscape Mail

Yesterday I received a message that I could not view.
And now everytime I try to open or delete any message
in the inbox I get
(Alert mailbox-message not a registered protocol)

Would anyone have an idea what's going on?

Not being an expert, I'd reinstall Netscape, and see whether that solves the problem.

Thanks. I don't know if I picked up a virus or if some settting got changed.
Will re-installing Netscape erase messages and addresses?

No. If you uninstall, and reinstall in the same directory, your settings won't be changed.

But it's always a good idea to backup first, just in case.

Reloading Netscape did the trick.
