Hello fine people of the software sub-forum
I'm having an issue here that I'd like to see if any of you have an easy solution for.
I'm trying to migrate e-mails and contacts from a few Windows XP machines using Outlook Express to a new machine with Windows 7 and Outlook 2010.
So far, the only semi-success I've had has gone like this.
1. Copy Outlook Express mail files from the WinXP machine to a USB drive.
2. Export the Outlook Express files to a comma seperated values file.
3. Paste them all into a folder on the Win7 machine.
4. Import e-mails and contacts to Windows Live mail on the new machine.
5. Export from Windows Live to Outlook 2010.
Steps 4 and 5 may seem pointless, but for some reason, I haven't been able to get Outlook 2010 to import the Outlook Express files. Windows Live Mail seemed to work fine as a go-between, but something is happening and it isn't exactly copying the e-mails correctly.
Is there an easier way to do this?
