Alright, let me start this off by saying that I am hexed with onboard video that is unable to be completely 'turned off'. Let me also say that I also just had an 8600 GT OC and I wasn't experiencing this problem. Okay, here it goes. I plug in the card, plug in the power adapter for the card, and I plug the monitor to the onboard video connection. I go into the BIOS, I go to video configuration, and I set primary video adapter as "PCI-e". I restart the computer. I let Windows load up and I uninstall the onboard video drivers. I reset, and try to plug the monitor into the GeForce, and the screen never comes up. So I plug it back into the onboard video connection and it automatically reloads the onboard drivers without even prompting me. It's almost as if there's no way to stop it from working. I remember even with the 8600 GT, if I went to my display properties, it would show both the onboard video and the GeForce card, but I can't even get that working. I've tried to load the drivers anyway, and once they get loaded, I reset like it asks me to, and again no video from the card whatsoever, not even if I let Windows load up and then change the connection. If anyone can help out at all, I'd greatly appreciate it. I really didn't wanna spend this much money on the card and now it seems as though I won't be able to use it. Thanks.
