Having trouble getting motivated for bodybuilding

I've been working out for about 10 months, and while i'm pretty satisfied with my achievments, i also realize that i could have done a lot more.

Lack of motivation was always a problem to some extent, but now it's really getting to me. See, before i always used girls for motivation - having a body good enough to get the girls i want was my goal.

And now i've pretty much achieved that and have nothing left to motivate me. As a result, i've been slacking off. Help!

That's the thing, i'm in shape already. The shape is good enough for girls, but not for me. I want more. But i can't motivate myself based on that alone.

well, that's a toughie... it's like saying you're all studied out, but you have more stuff to study for...

lemme know what works for ya cause i'm in the same situation you are in when it comes to working out. goodluck.

Either you are satisfied or you are not.

;)

Perhaps you are on a "plateau". Stop and ENJOY the results of your labor for awhile . . .

then . . .

get back to work.

Are you eating properly; resting; have OTHER distractions?

EDIT: Sometimes it helps to buddy up with someone also interested in your sport . . .you can encourage each other.

enter a powerlifting competition.

you'll have enough motivation for years of effort.

I have zero interest in powerlifting. I'm into bodybuilding.
