Hi, sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I ran into a problem that I can't seem to find a good solution to after searching around.
So today I tried to run Norton Ghost 2003 to make a backup image of my harddrive. Silly me I thought it only needed 1 CDR to do it. I didnt realize what I was doing until it asked me to insert another disc so I cancelled due to the size of my harddrive (Seagate 250gig). Afterward, I restarted and things seem to be fine on the bios screen but as it gets to the XP loading screen (the screen with the blue bars going across), it just gets stuck. So I decided to reformat. I had 3 partition and I was trying to delete all three and redo the partition size but it would'nt let me and showed me an error saying something about the section on my harddrive cannot be accessed. That section seems to cover my entire harddrive. Afterward I tried to restart and boot from CD to reinstall XP again but my screen is just blank after it says "Setup is inspecting your hardware configuration..."
I'm not sure what is going on but I tried booting off a CD that has memtest and that seems to work fine. I really have no idea what is causing this. I would really really appreciate it if someone could help me out. This had been bumming me out the whole day.
