I guess im old school. I had no problems keeping up with my game discs, and this was before DVDs!!! In fact Ive still got em.
I had no problems finding great deals on PC games in the pre-steam era, and I loved the fact that I could sell any game once I was through with it.
Hell, I could even keep all my games up to date manually! LOL
Sure was nice to be able to buy one copy of a game and run it from as many PC's as I liked, all at the same time as long as the IP was the same. Ah, but DRM came along and ruined all that. Now I have to by multiple copies of everything the family wants to get in on. BLEH!
There are some good points about steam and origin. The biggest one being that if I suffered some sort of disaster and lost my games in a flood or fire, all would not be lost.
