Having the same program running on multiple pc's?

Hey guys, is there a way to have one software running on multiple pc's without remote connectivity? To clarify, I wish to have one pc playing a music software but I want to access that software from another pc in the same room, only way I can think of is by having pc B remotely connected to pc A via Teamviewer. Problem with that is having to sign in frequently and of course some lag time, are there any other options please? I wish to control the software playing on pc A from pc B but just like if the software was running on pc B.

You're on the right track, in the sense that you need to have some way to control the device actually playing the music. There are dedicated streaming boxes which are designed and intended to be controlled by a smart phone app or something. iTunes also let you remote control from an iPhone.

If the devices are on the same lan, there are better options than team viewer. VNC comes to mind.

Use Portable UltraVNC.

It does not has to go through 3rd party server and can stay totally local so it might react faster (Team Viewer core is actually based on UltraVNC.

The LAN IPs of the computers can be used as their ID. Give the computers Static IPs or use the IP reservation of the Router.

If you use it only locally you probably can forgo the logon password.

Theis page is old but still depicts the principles - http://www.ezlan.net/vnc.html
