Having sound issues with far cry plz help

I don't understand what happened! I installed Far Cry and all of a sudden, my audio didn't want to work. I then fired up winamp and thought that maybe the issue is just with the game, instead winamp didn't have audio too. I checked all cable connections and eveything seems fine. Still no audio, nothing. I then decided to uninstall Far Cry to see if that would fix the problem but it didn't. I still don't have audio. Do any of you folks know how I can gat my audio back plz? If it helps i got 2GHZ, 1gig ram, 9800pro and audigy2 sound card. (Audio was working fine right before I ran the game)

Check the device manager and see if your sound card is still detected.

Check the volume levels in the sound mixer. control panel, sounds and audio devices.

Also, using the "creative restore defaults" helps with that issue sometimes
