Having problems with KT7-RAID

Everything was going great untill a couple days ago. In Win98SE, after a few min of running windows my RAID array will lock up the computer. Reproducable 95% of the time when loading Counter-Strike, random lockups occur through normal Windows disk operations. I even *gasp* clocked the cpu back to 800 (default) and *double gasp* set the BIOS to failsafe defaults. Pulling out all the stops, I completely recreated the RAID array, and the problem is still there with a fresh install of Win98. No lockups occurred during installation, only after windows was up and running. Is there something I'm missing or do I need to RMA my board?

yep, does it safe mode too. didn 't matter what driver or BIOS either, no change by upgrading to UL103 BIOS+driver

hmmm are you running the drives in the same channel?... mebbe you're sharing your hpt370's irq w/ another pci device...

btw how do you flash the bios for the hpt370?... and also... did you use the one from highpoint's site?

I'm no tech god but I'm having a similar problem if you put your HDD back on IDE1 and then fdisk then format and reinstall. You'll get to install the highpoint drivers again then you can swap the drive over to raid connector again. This happen to me and it seems to be that I corrupted the highpoint driver and couldn't reinstall my HDD.

Also make sure you short your cmos jumper before starting the whole procedure again so you are starting fresh. And try putting the SB Live on pci slot 2. Any NIC's go on pci slot 5. Hope this helps. Go here to http://go.to/kt7faq

thx for the tips guys, keep 'em comin. I'll try again when I get home tonight. The 2 IBM's are on different channels. I did try just one drive (non-raid) and it locked up too.
