sounds like its fragging meaning that there is a bad connection...I just modded a unit with a solderless chip of the same type. I would check your solder points and make sure it has good contact. Do you have the 3 external switches attached to this unit to? If so, the 1st switch to bank 2, 2nd to enable , and 3rd to on. Boot off the Bios CD and you should be good to go. Hope that helps.

When my chip wasnt seated right and making full contact, it would reboot 2-3 times without anything coming up on screen, then frag.

Frag = Flashing red and green

Check that you got the wires you're supposed to solder on the back for LPC and junk soldered correctly, I'm a n00b at soldering and I got my first X2.6CE install done on the first try.

If it already has a BIOS, then no, double check the soldering ;)

are any lights turning on on the actual mod chip? if none of them are on, that means it isnt getting power, which might be because you didnt solder the LPC header. if you are too n00b to know what you are doing, you probably shouldnt have tried to do this yourself. ive modded 50-60 xboxs with the xecuter chips so i am fully aware of how hard it is to solder the d0. good luck and hopefully you didnt fry it.
