I am trying to install some blue CCFL fans into my Antec PlusView 1000 AMG case. The issues come about when I try to install these fans using the purple fan brackets that the case comes with. These fan brackets are supposed to make things easier by making the fans "screwless". You just snap in the fans.
Now the fan specs say they are 80x25mm. If that were the case, then all would be okay, since that is what the purple fan brackets accept. However, the CCFL part of the fans adds another 5mm, making them 80x30mm, and therefore not fitting into the brackets. Would've been nice if svc would've had that in their specs. So I could just remove the purple fan brackets, right? No, because there are no mounting holes for screws whatsoever. Just square holes that hold the fan brackets in. I tried screwing the fan into the square holes, but they aren't quite the right dimensions.
Any ideas on how to mount my CCFL fans?
