Having problems formating 80gig

I'm trying to format my 80gig raid setup, it fdisks fine but when I try to format it either nothing happens (waiting 30minutes until I hit restart and recreate the raid) or I get a message saying it's trying to rellocate 16673 bytes or some crap(then it sits there). It also formats to ntfs just fine as well, but I'm in the mood to run winme again.

This usually means it has bad sector(s)

I would do a zero fill format and try again.
