having problems after upgrading to xp2400+

It's possible, but the mobo I upgraded to a 2400+ was purchased just about a year ago. I would think it was one of the earlier models because of this, but I guess it's possible it's a newer one. When did you purchase yours?

Well, if you RMA it now, you are likely to get a newer version, which hopefully will support the 2400+ properly.
