having problem with this spyware!!

there's this awful site full of ads called skinbase.org and it installs this program with out user consent! spyware seems from "my web search"... now i have this spyware that won't come off with spybot!! tried safeboot still won't come off because it is in use of memory just like other nasty spyware

it still won't come off everytime i installed the 30 day spy sweeper got rid of everything it tracked, but the issue is, spyboy everytime i run it it ind this spyware called "funWebSearch" and it can never delete it!! tried it in many circustances, in safemode, it tried during a restart and spybot stil failed to remove it because it says its in memory?

Try Microsoft's antispyware tool.... also be sure to turn off system restore when running

yeah i turned off system restore and the same nature! i am already using adaware, spy sweeper(will remove soon), and spybot, why another spyware removal program?

is it possible to "jump to location" where this annoying sppyware is and delete is in the registry?

What precise brand and version of antivirus software are you using, SuPrEIVIE? Do you have a router to provide firewalling? Know how to get into its menus and do stuff in there? Also, do try the Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta software.

I was making up a big long routine for someone over in Technical Support, you might try this if you have a sufficient attention span This thread, go down to the bottom and then back up about five posts. This would give you scans with two different current-generation antivirus softwares that are good against Trojans and Downloaders (frequently used by spyware), plus three different anti-spyware apps.

Disable System Restore on all volumes. Do ALL scans in Safe Mode except for Microsoft AntiSpyware, which only works in normal mode. In Safe Mode, open Task Manager and kill every process, or try to, except for Explorer.exe. If you run a HijackThis scan and run it through this page, and it flags stuff as suspicious, track it down and delete it by hand if you have to.

I went through this whole routine with my little sister's comp the other day. She has about 60GB of data and it took about six hours of non-stop work to do all the scans, so make sure you have some snacks It would definitely have been faster to reinstall Windows from scratch.

I use ezantivirus from computer associates no viruses found i have a router with double firewall and the ezfirewall or known as rebadged zone alarm some may say

I suggest you do follow my routine. My sister's system had an up-to-date Norton antivirus program with up-to-date definitions, fully configured to take no prisioners. The McAfee scan found Trojans and Downloaders that Norton didn't, and Kaspersky found some additional ones that neither McAfee nor Norton had picked up. So don't get too confident in your EZ Antivirus quite yet. There's a method to my madness

didn't do the long suggestion but tried the going in task manager and trying to delete possible processes then i ran spybot and it didn't show up!

then i head back to normal mode after coming from safe and no STUPID fUNWEBSEARCH detected thanks for those tips Mech and people who helped!

also i decided to keep the MS anti spy , spywareblaster also does real time protect like MS should i get rid of it or keep it?

From the whole episode, I suggest switching to a Limited-class user account for your web surfing. "Skinbase.org" sorta tips us off to the general pr0blem here. A malware that gets a grip on a Limited-class account doesn't have much to work with, whereas if you insist on using a Computer Administrator account, it would have free run of your whole computer.
