Having no TV sucks

I'm moving to Florida (daytona beach) in a couple of days, so I began serious packing yesterday: drain/disassemble the waterbed, pack up the TV (*sniff*) and start loading the trailer.

I miss the TV. So many good shows were on last night

Someone get me a stiff drink

We haven't had television at my house since we moved in, in June. Hasn't really bothered us that much. I read a lot more.

Thats what I would do. I love to read, but TV tends to suck me in.

I just catch up on series I like via download...

You'd have to pay me to watch the crap on TV 99% of the time. Even Discovery dumbed it down, and look how good it's been for their ratings 🙁

Yeah, that pissed me off.. I had thought they were supposed to supply scientific material, but they're on about the same mental plane as animal planet.

I haven't had a TV since I moved to my place in April 2003. Surprisingly I don't miss it a bit, considering I used to watch it a lot. The only time I've "given in" was when I downloaded seasons 1&2 of Enterprise and watched them, but that was about a year ago. Other than that, no TV for me. 🙂

I like to entertain myself rather than "be entertained" by the television. I always have projects that I want to do. Computer projects, home projects, car, boat, whatever. I never have time for TV., even though I have one.

They own Animal Planet, as well as TLC, the Travel channel, the Science channel, and obviously Discovery, Discovery Health, Discovery Wings, and Discovery Home & Leisure... maybe a few other channels as well. Dumbing it down apparently was phenomenally profitable  What they've done to TLC is the worst.
