Well for the past few hours I've been messing around with this CPU and I can't seem to get a decent overclock using the ABIT TH7II-RAID. The only options I mess around with is the FSB (which will not go above 120), vcore voltage, and taking my memory down to 3x. I use 16 device samgung RDRAM. Even though the pc with boot at 120, its not stable - wont run sanra benchmarks. BIOS in use is the 38 dated 12/4/01.

Are your agp/pci speeds way out of spec at 120fsb or does the TH7-II have the proper dividers to keep them at 66/33?

Its luck of the draw. I can't overclock mine either. Any kind of fsb increase, my Plextor won't read cds. *Shrugs*

thanks for all the replys everyone, I always knew it would be a luck of draw thing but wanted to gamble. Just didn't want to settle for stock speed if it's my fault it wont increase. I've tried everything such as always tweaking with voltages and FSB to try and find a sweet spot, its not going to happen. I get plenty of errors and file corruption. Things are wonderful at 2ghz (stock) fast enough for me plus it wont add stress to the other components either. I am seeing a difference between RD and DDR. Its also quiet and cool.

Also, I do set FSB to 133 machine wont post, needed to clear bios to start up again.

You might want to check out this thread. This guy has a similar setup to yours, was having trouble OCing and discovered he had to run 512Mb max of RAM. He wasn't stable when he was running 1Gb of RAM.
