Having Mouse Problems..

I have a normal mouse, came with the DELL computer. I just got the computer(and the mouse) on Christmas. And the mouse is screwing up. It's not an optical mouse, and somethings, when I want to move to the right, it's hell to move it to the right. I have to pick up the mouse and and do all sorts of weird stuff to make it go to the right.

What is wrong?

Ok, more of an error, when I move it to the right, the mouse goes diagonally up to the right, not just right.

1) Buy an optical mouse because this won't happen

or

2) Take the ball out of your mouse and scrape the crap off the rollers with a nail file.

You can get a standard 2 button optical mouse with a scroll wheel for $20. Try your local office supply store.

You're going to have to take the ball out and clean all the lint, dust, and other crap that is stuck between the rollers.
A small flathead screwdriver for eye glasses does the trick imho.
