Having LAN probs

this mite seem a pretty unusual problem

I have 2 switches and one is working perfectly fine.....The second seems to work OK but I cant connect the 2 together.....When i turn on the uplink feature, I get the light but networling doesnt work......

When i connect the same wire to my PC, with the uplink feature on iut works......but without the uplink it doesnt

What is the problem

you have a cross over cable, turn off the uplink and use it from one port of one switch to the other, both should have the uplink off.
