I also found out that delivery people don't have the time to cuddle and just hold you. ;) It really sucks to be on the 'do not call list' by Domino's Pizza.

no drooling this time

You could have your food delivered for a lot less than it costs to have a wife!

I LOL'd on that one.

My boyfriend does about 95% of the cooking. He loves to cook, so it's great. lol We moved into the woods on a mountain, so we don't get delivery here. *Sob* :(

I love the little things too! I love when I'm tired from school and more school, my hubby offers to just get something to eat so I don't have to cook. :D

: ) Amanda

A real man would have cooked you dinner and served it by candlelight. ;) At least that's what my wife tells me.
A real whipped man would have! :p

Wow, I didn't think I'd ever see a female on ATOT calling another member p.w.'d! I've seen everything now!

edit: btw, FFM is right. better, then worse, then better... Just don't give up during the worse periods - too many people do these days.

Not at all! It's a very true statement. Let's say my wife picked up food for the two of us. That means I'm paying for two meals. Now if I'd just order for myself and pay delivery, it is less. Not to mention all the other associated costs necessary for the upkeep of a woman, which makes ordering out much less.

the savings evaporate quickly when you factor in your large expenditures on "escorts"

Modeps,
It is great to see a happy camper! Kewl for ya!

I have one of those, although he is my b/f not hubby. We have been together for 5yrs. Own a home together, take care of the cats and he adores my 19yr. old daughter (he has only known her she is was 14yrs old.) He is thoughtful, kind, generous and never ever stresses about anything. Never gets angry, is very affectionate and absolutely adores me.

And I find it to be a wonderful thing on holidays. My family is spread all over the country and my ex hubby has no family, so it is such a warm and wonderful thing to me to go over the b/f's parents house and see a family where everyone is glad to see each other, brings something to the house (warmth, love and good times) besides just the plates of food.

wine, food and hugs & smooches from the family, combined with all the great things about the b/f makes me the luckiest gal on the planet. And I am smart enuf to know it and never take it for granted.

I know how you feel!

:) :) :)
p.s. that was really soppy... sorry!

Gosh, you guys/gals are cracking me up..LOL. I am not married but when I am, I will be sure let everyone know how happy or not that I am.

Edit: BTW, OP, you are not trying to score some brownie points, right? LOL

My wife is great. She goes out of her way to cook my favorite foods. I do a lot of other things, so it's an even exchange which keeps the relationship going. But yeah, I don't know what I'd do without the companionship. Plus it's nice to have someone to share everything with and not have to do the dating scene over and over.

No problem being sappy, it's nice to see people happy instead of all this teenage angst around these parts.

For example, she bought the Easter candy this year. No big deal, right? Go to supermarket, pick out chocolate for her, me, and the kids, etc.

She goes and gets great candy for her and the kids - just what they like. And for me, she literally hunted down at least one of every one of my favorite candies:

250g milk chocolate Homer Simpson (I'm a huge Simpsons addict)
Cadbury's Creme Eggs
Lik-A-Stix (I didn't even know they still made these!)
Nerds
Rockets (called Smarties in the States)
Caramel Eggs

I didn't ask for any of these - she just knew and went out to find them.

She's awesome! :)

She have a sister??? hehe :D
