I have a Duron 600 @ 950 1.85v, stable even under torture test on Prime95. I have a Diamond Viper V770 Ultra (TNT2 Pro Driver from Nvidia Ver. 650) a Soundblaster Live Value and a ISA modem (USR). I am using Generic memory, I have it running CAS2 with 4x interleave and 4k page at medium speed).

My problem is when it returns from monitor power saving state, the computer will sometimes freeze with only a mouse and a black screen or sometimes I can see the desktop but it is covered in lines and rows of dots and sometimes I can shut it down from that state and sometimes it wont. I have tried almost all combinations of setting in bios and in windows. Power management stuff has always been my weak point and I could really use some help. This isn't fatal but I sure would like my monitor to shut itself down instead of me wearing out the button. :(

Is there anybody out there? Just nod if you can hear me.

When my monitor power button wears out, I will make a new thread on how to change it. HEHE :D ;) :p

It's a known issue with your videocard's drivers. Check here and search for "saving modes" for info. Just to be clear to those abit-haters NOT ABIT'S FAULT.;)

Thanks Sad, I don't understand the ABIT haters. I would imagine their return percentage is comparable to anyone's. They just sell more, so more people post and the people that post here buy the thing cuz its fabulous at its chosen task (overclocking). I kinda figured it was ACPI and my video card, cuz i remembered reading something about GeForce cards having problem with nvidia's reference drivers, but couldn't find it anywhere and wasn't sure i read if there was a fix.

But thanks bro for the info!! :D

And to all you haters of ABIT, heres a challenge. Find me a board out there with ABIT's features that doesn't have a single legit issue and I will stand behind it 100%. :disgust:
