Hello, hope someone could help me with a little confusing problem. I have two gaming rigs running in my room (1st rig ) I'm using (2nd rig) my girlfriend is using.

I got her into the Call of Duty Series and we just (not to long ago) tried to go multi with the game since I have 2 copies of the game each running in the two rigs.

When ever we go multi "Lan" we can link up or when going co-op, but when we try going multi online "internet" we can seem to get onto the same servers and sometimes I cant see the server she's on and likewise. One of the biggest reason why I got the two copies of the game is so I could go multi online with someone else aside from myself.

My question: is it possible somehow to have both computers link up at the same server, basically can myself and who ever is also playing on the other computer, go online on the same internet multiplayer server together???

I know it may sound like a "newbie" question but I just thought that since I have two rigs and two copies of the game, it wouldnt matter and that I could just go online multi "internet" on the servers with my and someone else using the other rig beside me gaming on the same server. Is their maybe somekind of IPS address conflict or something? please some one help me

thank you

*P.S. I could go online with both rigs with AION on the same server as well as having to Company of Heroes games in both rigs on the same match up, but I just cant go on the same internet server*

The in-game server browser is absolute crap TBH. Use an external browser like Qtracker or ASE or whatever the kids are using these days.

As far as I know, no you can't.

HOWEVER, what you can do is create your own game server, and have your gf be your friend on the browser, invite her to your game and then play with the other 2 people who join.

If you are going to create a game be sure you DMZ ports are on, because the code is pretty shit and they won't be able to connect to your game otherwise except if you invite them.

Wut? I see no reason why this wont work, and I have done it myself with other games.

Yes - rather than starting the game and looking for a server from within it, download Qtracker (or whichever is the best these days) and use it to find servers. Then when you double click a server it will launch the game straight into that server. You can also add favorites etc and share server details between each other.

You can also filter/search for servers by name, location, ping, game type etc.

Seriously, as good as the COD games are, the server browsers have always sucked ass. You'll have a lot more luck with this.

edit: Actually, try Xfire, that's supposed to be one of the best.
