Having a problem with accessing shares

I just finished setting up my peer-to-peer network and I am having problems accessing shares on new machine. Right now the new machine is using winxp pro and the old machine has w2k pro. I am using a linksys 4port router and both machines have access to the internet and we both can play head-to-head games fine. I can see the shares in network places but can't access them. I can access shares on my old machine, but the old machine can't pull anything off the new one. I keep the getting the error:

Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

New Machine:
P4 1.6A
ASUS P4S333
512mb PC2700

Old Machine
PIII 500mhz
Intel Board
256 pc100

Another thing I just found out is when I try to run Norton DiskDoctor I am getting a message stating the operating system has exclusive access to the c:\. This message starting coming up when I tried to rename my c:\ drive as c$. Is there anything I can do fix this? How do I unlock my c:\ drive now? Even if I turn off sharing it stills comes up saying the operating system is the only allowed to access the c:\.
