having a MP4 file and want to convert it to DVD

I have about a 1.3 gig file and want to convert it to DVD. Problem is.. when I try to use NeroVision.. it is way too big and ends up at about 7GB... I want to make this smaller.. I can't seem to find a good decoder to make this MP4 file (with a x264 codec) into a smaller file.. anybody know a good one? TMPGEnc won't let me use it..

after using Nero Vision, use dvd shrink to get it down to 4.x gigs. With a lot of luck it might look decent. Worth a shot if there aren't any other ideas

well with nerovision it goes right to the burning and wont do just the encoding.. so I would need another program for this.
