Having a bit of wireless trouble

Still trying to get this to work. My laptop and desktop can connect to a wireless network just fine.

Meanwhile I have some others computer (one of them the exact same model as my laptop) that won't connect. Under SP2 they are stuck with the message "waiting for the network". This happens even when I turn off all security features and it's sitting wide open.... Anyone wanna take a guess what it could be?

Hi,

I realise from the picture you paint that you appear to have problems even connecting to the network, but something to check never the less is that if you are using DHCP, the available range for computers should be set to allow for 3 (in case it's been narrowed to just the two machines you mention previously).

You also mention turning off all security - did you include MAC address authentication (this is sometimes overlooked)?

Furthermore, and probably more obviously, make sure your NIC drivers are up to date. If they are it may even be worth reinstalling them in case SP2 has done something nasty.

Good luck and sorry I don't have any better ideas,

Andy
