Unfortunately Shanghai is hosting the 2010 world expo so to get ready they are revamping some of the big touristy areas. The bund being one of them. The buildings are all there to see of course which was neat to see, very impressive skyline across the Huangpu! However the nice walkway along the rive is being all torn up and redone. We went to the Yuyuan Gardens near the old Shanghai Tea House. And did some window shopping. Can't get much more touristy than that. As for picking up girls. Would need to be traveling by myself for that, and not be a shy sociophobe.

Edit: Not for want of thousands of attractive girls though!
