After having a few beers, my buddy and I were hungry. So, his girlfriend and I (she was completely sober) went to Taco Bell.

I was staring at her speedometer right when a police officer pulled us over. We were going 45 in a 45 and we were never higher than 47. The officer asked for her license and registration which she gave. She asked why she was pulled over and the officer said she was speeding. She said she was not and the officer said she was maybe going 60. She again said she was not speeding and I also said I was watching her speedometer and she was going 45.

The officer asked me if I had been drinking. I said, 'ya, I had a few beers.' He demanded my license. Oh noes.. I was over 21.. so sorry.

Then, the officer went back to his car and made us wait for about 10 minutes. Our food was getting cold. When the officer came back, I asked him for his badge number. He ignored me. I asked him again - and he told me to shut up. Being the persistent person that I am and never knowing when to quit, I shouted at him and said, "What is your badge number? This is a legal question." He had just got done telling us to wait yet another time while he went back to his car.

Maybe I leaned my head out of the window too far when I asked him.. but he told me to get out of the car. So, I did. Immediately, he pulled my arm behind me, forced it up (doesn't actually bend that way), and slammed me against her car. I hit my chin on the roof. He said something to the effect of 'this was for his own safety.' And, he searched me, pushed me against the car again, and told me to "get in the fvcking car."

By this time, another officer had joined. He showed up right when the first officer was throwing me against the car. He then talked to the first officer and I guess calmed him down. The first officer drove off in a huff. When I asked why he threw me against the car, the second officer said I never should have gotten out of the car...

Even from the second officer, I couldn't get enough information to file a complaint about the first officer. The whole damn thing left my arm sore and my chin bruised, my food cold, and my pride busted.

Cops get sh!t from idiots like you every day. The fact that you "had a few beers" is part of the reason you were treated this way. A drunk/intoxicated person is likely to do random things including assaulting an officer. And I'm so sure we are hearing your story with 100% accuracy, because everyone on the internet has been harrased by "The Man".

Not really. Generally it occurs from police. I've been pulled over three times by cops. First was for speeding and I got a warning (thanks!), second time because I acted suspiciously (I had a badly overladen vehicle and when the cop pulled out behind me from a gas station I shortly thereafter pulled off into a side road, then when he went by I kept going and passed him as he had somebody pulled over. he later asked why and I said i was looking for a tape on the floor - warning again). Third time was in AL and I think the cop was bored. I went "too fast" through a yield sign, but he gave a warning and that was it. Fourth time I've dealt with a cop was looking through some new houses late at night with my maglite as a cop drove by and, naturally, stopped and pointed his light at the house. I walked out and approached him and was nice about it, plus I had a nice car parked in the driveway, so he let me go.

I don't know why I rehashed all that, but the four cops I've dealt with were nice :) Some times you get a dick, but more times than not they just want to get through their shift without being hasseled and if they can deal with a regular upstanding individual who isn't shifty-eyed or looks like a threat it's more than likely a relief for them and a good way to make the shift-time go by.

Not really... I've been pulled over several times for B.S. reasons so they could see if I was drunk. Twice because I was "driving too close to the yellow line." Most of my experiences with police have been pretty positive because I'm not a d!ck about it.

While I can understand your point of view, I disagree. The guy admitted he had a few beers. He was civil, did not threated the cop and posed no danger. That's no reason to slam his ass off the hood of the car!

I fully enjoy testing an officer's knowledge of due process and civil rights. :) ESPECIALLY when they try to ticket me for anything on private property. I.E. a mall parking lot. You cannot be issued a moving or parking violation while parked on private property. Now...of course the cop will wait for you to LEAVE the private property then ticket you, but that's a different story entirely.

Exactly. Everybody is hot sh!t and has their, "fvcking rights." It's amazing how much common courtesy has been lost to civil law enforcement servents. Acting like an ass will get you no where.

With that and much of the rest of the world's track record in mind, I am very appreciative of my liberties. I treat them as the privileges that they are.
