I'm looking at Prolab's N-Large 2 MuscleSurf N-Large 2 and am wondering if any of you guys have tried this out. I'm 6'1" 185 pounds and I'm looking to gain around 10-15 pounds for the summer (I gotta look buff on the beach you know), but I don't want to gain just bulk, I would rather gain 10 pounds of muscle and keep definition than gain 20 pounds of muscle&fat (of course this is what everyone wants). Anyway I've had protein drinks in the past and still use them along with cycling creatine, but I just can't seem to get enough calories in to gain much weight.

OK, long story short, with Prolab's N-Large 2 help out bigtime or is it a waste of money and I should just stick with 100% Whey? 100% Whey

Thanks guys

None of you weight lifters or "hard gainers" have ever tried this stuff? I thought it was pretty popular....guess I thought wrong.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you aren't going to gain 10-15lbs of just muscle mass before summer.

It is hard enough to gain that much quality muscle mass in an entire year.

You could put on that much weight with muscle and fat but you said you didn't want to do that. I think 5-7lbs is a more attainable goal.

you'll put on a couple pounds of muscle just eating right and eating whey... but if you're really trying to bulk up you are going to get some fat along with it.

I use Designer Whey protien, good stuff.

Check out Mag-10 from biotest.com, it's pretty much the last step before illegal steroids. if you do a couple of cycles of that then you might be able to do 10-15 pounds.

Thanks guys. I guess 10-15 lbs of muscle is way too much to expect before summer (I could probably do 10-15 pounds but like you said it would be muscle covered by fat). But I think if I supplment my current diet with that N-large (I'd take it 3 times a day, around 300 calories, 28g of protein each serving = an extra 900 cal and 84g of protein a day!) for a month and eat decent I should see some gain, I might cycle creatine after or during that time too, I haven't decided yet, plus creatine makes me gain 5-10 pounds of water just by taking it for 45 days, then after a month I lose 4-9 pounds:). I'll shoot for 5-8 pounds in the next two months and hopefully will reach that. If that doesn't work I'm going for 'roids.....or not.

Thanks again for the input so far.

Creatine won't hurt but make sure you're drinking a Lot of water. Eat plenty of calories and aim for 200 g of protein evenly spaced. A good bit first thing in the morning and last thing just before bed.
