I had a friend who took over 13 grams of Tylenol throughout a day (basically a ridiculous amount of Vicodin 7.5/750s). Granted between that and many other things, his liver is probably in horrible shape, but he certainly didn't die.
I've done quite a few times where I'd take 3+ grams of acetaminophen and drank 4-6+ beers. No bad side effects for the most part, but I know and knew then it wasn't a good thing to do. I'm not sure what symptoms of a bad liver are, but mine seems fine.
Not that this issue should be ignored, because a lot of normal people probably still aren't aware of using Tylenol within a close period of drinking alcohol, but on some other forums I visit, I think it's overblown. I mean, someone will ask if 3gr is okay to take at once, just once, and you got people saying CWE OR YOU'LL DIE!!!
I mean tylenol and alcohol have been around for a long time and very common together. I would of course say avoid it if at all possible, and it is better to take aspirin or ibuprofen if you have to take anything. And I'm no doctor obviously, but I can't see that 3-5gr or 1-2gr with some alcohol several times over your life to be any worse than a hundred other things people do.
