Have you seen the new F-150 commercial?("that thing got a hemi?")

Squisher

Lifer
F-150 pulls up next to Ram at red light, both are pulling loaded car trailers.

Guy in F-150 says, "that thing got a hemi?"

After guy in Ram says, "yeah" the light turns green and the F-150 blows away the Ram with a voice-over.

When was the last time you heard one manufacturer mocking another?

Looks like the truck wars are getting pretty down and dirty.

Now all we need is a three lane stop light so the Titan can join in, especially since it's much faster than any of it's competitors, even the Ram w/ Hemi.

Both commercials are annoying, the F-150 one especially so because it's based on the Dodge commercial where the guy is towing the trailer with the 'Cuda or whatever on it. I dunno what car it is.

blasphemy!

As long as it was just a Lancer and not a Lancer Evo the Pontiac has every right to mock. Hell, just about any car has the right to mock that piece of crap.

The sad thing is that a 5.7 liter Hemi Ram 1500 would blow away a 5.4 liter '04 F-150 in performance AFAICT

And the Titan would smoke them both....BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADLY

That's funny 🙂

Also funny is that the Titan is cheaper, faster, has a better towing capacity, shorter braking distance, and more torque than both of them.

I hate the commercial with they guy that tells his kid all needs to know is that the truck has a 'Hemi' and the kid yells "Hemi." Yet another redneck, macho in the making.

meh. the original hemi was an awesome engine, but there's nothing particularly special about hemispherical combustion chambers...

That's not a truck - it's a mustang in a truck chassis. 🙂 Hardly something you're likely to see at the job site full of cement mix!

how much faster?

I thought the RAM HEMI was faster than hte Titan.

I think the Toyota commercial is funnier. 😉

The reporter type person asks the dude, "That thing got a hemi?", and he's like.. "Prices like these are giving me a hemi."

lol...

Too bad the Titan's rear axle would have exploded if you were towing a 60's era Mustang and a 3000lb trailer, like the commercial 😀.

There is also a Dodge commercial were the Dodge pulls up to the Ford with the same kinda scenario, except it wins. They were showing both during the Red Wings game.

If you are actually going to tow stuff, then ford is the only way to go. Second is dodge, and I don't know anyone who would use a Japanese truck to actually do work. Of course, a Japanese truck would probably have the best .25mi time (without towing)

I really don't understand this obsession with having a super fast truck. Does it really matter if this truck is faster than that truck?

I didn't buy my Ram because it will get me to work faster.

Yeah, i've never seen two trucks drag race... why the concentration on speed?
