have you seen many more beautiful cars than this?

What about the 427 Cobra?

The 'Boss' was OK for it's time, but had plenty of competition from Camaros, Chevelles/Malibus, Cudas, GTOs, Novas, Challengers,

It's beautiful, but I've seen plenty MORE beautiful.
Besides--what good is a car you keep in a climate controlled vault 99% of the time, and on a trailer going to shows the other 1%? I want a beautiful car I can DRIVE

If you owned it, you could drive it as much as you want. Just cause he dosn't drive it doesn't mean it can't be driven.

Very nice! I was hoping this wasn't another Ricerronniemobile thread. I'm not a big Ford fan, but I do like the fastback body styles they had. Very nice vehicle.

I'm a Mopar man, myself; even if I don't currently own one. My dream is to someday get a 70/71 Challenger or Cuda and drop a 440 in it. No scoops. No stickers. Very subdued. Heheheheheh.😀

Years ago, I had a 74 Challenger with a 318/slushbox. I loved that car. Problem was that it was an East-coast car and it was rusted to sh!t. Got a $500 paintjob that didn't look half bad.

Eventually, I lost 3rd gear AND reverse at the same time...drove it that way for a year, believe it or not. Then one day, it died. Someday I'll own another. 🙂

<< EDIT: Another SJ, a German site but a friggin' beautiful car. Duesenberg SJ Boattail Speedster. >>

I think I just came 😱 😉

Seriously, though, I've always loved Duesenburgs, but I've never been very fond of Cords. The front end just looks kinda funky to me. I know it's art deco, but it's just a little weird. :::shrug:::

The Cord doesn't win on aesthetics, but rather on technical merit. Front wheel drive and retractable headlights in the 1930's are enough for me to forgive the strangeness of that finned hood. I say we put together a conglomeration of people so we can put up enough money to bring that SJ Boattail Speedster to the States. It looks homesick. 😉
