Have you seen "Casablanca"?

I'm not sure how you intend the greater than, less than symbols, to be interpreted.

I assume

<30 means over 30 ?

>30 means less than 30 ?

Have seen it about a dozen times over the years. An all-time classic.

That screenplay wouldn't even be made into a movie today. No foul language, no sex, no nudity, no bloody violence.

yep, 24 and I own it.

Renault is hilarious.
Rick: I've got this gun pointed right at your heart
Renault: That is my least vulnerable spot

Tom,

The symbols can be read in either direction. Regardless which way you read it, the relationship being expressed is the same.

Always, the wider side of the > points to the "larger" side and the point of the > points to the smaller side.

So you could read it X<30 means X is less than 30, or alternatively you can read the same thing as 30 is greater than X. X>30 means X is greater than 30, or can also be read as 30 is less than X.

The way written in your quoted post is exactly backwards.

<30: your age is less than 30

Well, that's why I asked. Since the "X" isn't there, I wasn't sure which side of the <> was supposed to be me. I know what the arrow represents in mathmatics, but wasn't sure what an incomplete expression was supposed to mean.

I knew I wasn't the <> symbol, so since the only other part of theexpression that exists I assumed I was the 30.

I don't like Rick. He seems like a scumbag to me. I don't see why any girl would like him. Why do girls fall for the scumbags??

Well, he was acting like a scumbag during most of the movie because he was so hurt and angry at Ilse (Sp?) for leaving him in Paris, but he redeemed himself in the end by sending her off with another man because he wanted her to be safe and happy and he respected the guy for what he was doing and thought she would be better off with him.

Great movie!

Yes, I've seen it...great movie.

Even then, I'd be disappointed if that is the single, greatest movie ever made in English over the last hundred years.
