But yeah, I read them too, pretty good books, for the time. Mr. Stine must have been writing non-stop for a while... Those books came out like every week!

over 130 or so have been made

including the Goosebump 2000 series i think

I haven't read those books in years and years... but yes, I used to read them when I was younger. I enjoyed them, though not nearly as much as I enjoyed the Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew. :-\

Oooo how about the Boxcar Children? I remember reading all of them too.

I can't believe I forgot about the Boxcar Children... they were good too :)

Bart: Dad, they're all about smugglers....
Homer: No no, not this one, "The Smugglers of Pirates Cove"

Stolen from: Amazon.com
Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny, four orphaned brothers and sisters, suddenly appear in a small town. No one knows who these young wanderers are or where they have come from. Frightened to live with a grandfather they have never met, the children make a home for themselves in an abandoned red boxcar they discover in the woods. Henry, the oldest, goes to town to earn money and buy food and supplies.

The kids eventually team up with their grandfather, find that he's a nice and charming old man, and they have many adventures and solve many mysteries.

I remember all the titles that have been mentioned in this thread. I was addicted to the series about ten years ago. :)

That and Goosebumps were my all time favorites... I told my little cousin who was like 5 at the time one of the stories from Goosebumps during his birthday party. Scared him sh!tless and couldnt fall asleep. I felt bad about it after, considering he ended up crying (keep in mind he was little at the time), but it was meant in good fun.

You probably have, and I probably just can't remember it :p

I do remember smugglers, though. Quite a bit about smuggling, counterfitting (sp?), etc.

I forgot....... I actually met the guy. He came into my middle school long ago and talked about some new series he had. Don't think it ever took off. He was definitely a weird guy....
