Have you played the Monopoly game @ McDonalds this year?

One year they included a $1 or $3 Best Buy gift certificate on every game piece. My old roommate mailed in a bunch of requests for game pieces and used his Best Buy money to buy stuff which he then turned around and sold on eBay. Ended up making about $2000.

Ah yeah, I remember that.

It was a lot of work/hassle, but if you were willing to do it, you could come out with a nice profit (like your roommate).

Weren't those BBY GC's restricted to like 1 gc per purchase or something?

Your roommate must have had to buy a lot of stuff at a small discount and then resell them.

What I find really funny are the people who don't understand how the game works. They collect all the common ones and think they have a shot at getting the rare piece from each set.

A few interesting notes, the expected value for a game piece is about 8 cents. Last year the expected value was about 40 cents, making the write in snail mail entries about break-even.
Also, the way they calculate the odds is kinda interesting. So according to the rules the odds of getting Broadway are 1 in 618,106,200, it then goes on to say that the odds of getting the set are 1 in 3,141,832,163. However that's not really true. If you got Broadway, you (if you were smart) would just keep buying stuff until the you got Park Place too. So really, the odds are still 1 in 618,106,200.

Oh, and I've entered about 15 codes, only won once (30 MCR points), and had no food prizes at all. Kinda surprised about the 0 food prizes, as those are the most common.

No, you can stack them all together. I managed to collect 5 $1 + 1 $3 BB bucks that year and brought it to BB on Black Friday to sweeten the deal a bit :)

I got the $10 EA Sports code. Anyone want it?

I did however, get a free EA Sports game. Any EA Sports game, free w/ free shipping! I just got the most expensive game (Madden 12 LE or whatever), eBay it for a profit.

As it turns out I probably should have given mine away too. I had to install EAs new version of Steam (which I hate and never used). On top of that I had to download the 7GB game three times because it failed twice near the end.

After installing the game inside the Origin interface, it was bound to it. The game was too complex and I uninstalled everything. :'(
