Paul Harvey raves about it, but for 349.00 it seems rather overpriced. Does it really fill the room with sound? 😉
 
Iono. For that tiny little thing, I'm just NOT impressed. I've only seen stores with it. Its always been coupled with great TV's and I'm not an audiophile. I can't tell the difference between it and another good stereo system.

i own one of these we paid i think 599.99 for ours. we got it a little bit after it came out. I am impressed i use it for all of my partys.
it does fill the room
the only i need now is a way to hook up a 15" sub to it😉
 
Well, the last time i stayed at the Waldorf in NYC, they had one on the bedside table. At first, i was something along the lines of, "OMG, it's that four-hundred dollar radio, must listen, must listen NOW!!" But after juicing that sucker up, my reaction was more like, "Uhh, what kinda space-age materials are they using to warrant this piece of crap's 400 dollar pricetag?!" It's just a normal radio for heaven's sakes!
 
The Wave Radio is amazing. It is a tad pricey. I got one in College and it sounded as good as a stereo in the same price range.

The Acoustic Wave Machine is another piece of incredible equipment. If you can go the $1200 I would recommend it too.

You can match the sound quality in the same pricerange, but not with as compact equipment.

Yes. I think I'd rather have a REAL system for $500. I mean, it's impressive for it's size, but good god, I don't see how they could charge more than $100 for this thing!
 
I already have a "real" home theater system. I was looking for a nice piece to put in the bedroom. 😉
 
It is compact, easy to use, and fairly powerful. It is surprising how good it sounds, although as has been said, for the money you can do better. Just maybe not in such a convenient way. Think of it as the world's best clock radio. But it's not threatening any mini-systems.
 
I have heard both the radio-only and CD player version, and think it is worth the money for how compact they are.... they easily fill the room with sound and you can keep on cranking up the volume - I got it up darn loud and still no distortion to be heard of... Hard to believe how much sound that little box can put out.....

They must have invested a ton to engineer that and now are charging so much to make some of it back....though I'm sure some of it is the name.

It's one of the only things advertised on TV and in magazines that isn't a scam or a piece of trash.
 
Bose typically makes crappy loudspeakers, but my parents have the CD wave radio, and it DOES sound good, even not considering its size. It's a totally unique item, so you can't really compare it to anything else, but yes it is pricey.
 
I have heard mini systems that sound about the same for the same money and look a whole lot better while doing it.
 
Bose's marketing team is better than their products.

In the price range, you can get better sounding gear easily. Finding something as small is more difficult, but they are available.
