yeah the CV survivors would still be alive and well in 1870, and both sides were american so I think 1870 wins hands down. Now we barely have any WW2 vets alive, and Vietnam vets won't admit to killing anyone. Well my crazy uncle Jr. does, but...
 
The current government and media has treated gun ownership like it is an abomination. So really the only people owning guns is a few select people that coerced the system into letting them have what the Bill of Rights gives them, government employees and the criminal element.
