When I was younger I used to sing that song out loud while playing on the trampoline. I had even perfected a move called the Tom Petty where I'd fall all the way from a high jump completely inverted with my head towards the matt, but right myself just before breaking my neck. Boy did that make my mom nervous.

Is it just me or does Nicks at times sound like a bleating goat?

I like some of her songs and a lot of songs she sings for Fleetwood Mac but at times she hits a note and the tremolo (proper term?) in her voice reminds me exactly of a goat bleating:laugh:

I've heard it WAAAYYYYY too many times. Tom Petty sucks.

You're crazy. He's one of the best rock artists of the last thirty years. It's amazing how he's been putting out quality material and remained relevant the whole time.

I've never much liked Tom Petty. I don't dislike him much either. His music is mostly just "meh" to me.

Kinda like neutral filler between good songs on the radio.

And yes, I'm old enough to remember all his early stuff, and MTV actually played his videos. :p

EDIT: And if you've heard of this song before, tell us a story about you involving this song! Like, the first time you heard it or something.
Right after I talked to Cush's father, he told me that he was going to go with me. I got in my car and searched around on the radio until I heard this song... I was so happy, I started singing along.

I like Tom Petty...It's strange, my taste in music has done a complete flip-flop recently. I used to really enjoy Eminem, Metallica, Green day and Rammstein...

Now I find myself listening to Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young!

BTW, "Devils and Dust" by springsteen ownzors.
