If you want to send a message to somebody within your own network, you type in the Dos Prompt

net send [ip address] [message]

For example: net send 192.168.0.5 hi there roomy!

here is the problem. i know you can send somebody a message within your own network, but the problem is, i want to send a message to somebody across the internet... i know this can be done cause i did it before 2 years ago. i forgot now.. can anybody help me out?

For instance, i want to send a message to you. I have your ip address... but the message won't send...
