mmmm bojangles
i moved to kansas for about a year (long story) and when i visited home after about 6 months or so, i got in to town the same day my brother in law got in from his deployment to afghanistan. when my sister asked where we wanted to eat we said "bojangles" immediately.
fried chicken? check.
sweet tea? check (fucking kansas...no sweet tea worth a god damn anywhere)
and the seasoned fries...mmm
thing is, if you dont get there when they are busy, the food sits forever and isnt worth a shit. but if its fresh, its pretty damn tasty.
same. Bojangles + BBQ + Chik Fil-A (no Chik Fil-A convenient to me out west) are must-visits as soon as I return home. There is almost always a stop at Bojangles from the airport to home
Popeye's red beans & rice is the best side in any chicken joint, but the last time I made it down to Columbia to get some Popeye's, the container had a false bottom - half beans & rice, half empty space.
The chicken still didn't measure up to Bo's, so I guess I make my own beans & rice from now on.
yeah, I agree with their RB & R. If it weren't for that, I would never go to Popeyes. I like asking for jalepenos to cut up and put in the rice. yum. The dirty rice at Bo is pretty good--but the dirty rice at Churches is one of the worst FF sides ever. it is horrible.
but of course--Churches will sell you a bag of whole jalepenos as if they were fries. awesome.
