So you eat the saran wrap? If you took the non-melted saran wrap off, all the breading would come off with it.

Used to take lumpia wrappers, filled them with mashed potatoes, and then pan fry them. Those were pretty tasty. It would be a small step to deep fry them... and it would probably be phenomenal, as you suggest.

I've tried it, more for the novelty than anything else. It was so-so - kinda bland and greasy.

I've had the same, and the experience was similar. I think it had more to do with the preparation (it was a bar and grill place) than the actual recipe.

I may have to try this at home...
