I thought it was just goofy until I got to "meta-human" abilities, at which point I thought it was bad...basically it sounds like "Buffy meets Witchblade" which, in my oppinion, gets a rating of 4 rolling eyes out of five.

I may give it a chance when the fall season rolls around, but other than that I think it looks pretty dumb. Looks like a very twisted form of Batman and seems to deviate a lot from the ideals that made him popular. Smallville started off alrigh, but during midseason I thought it got very repetitive with the same basic storyline over and over. But near the end of the season, they started focusing more on Superman and his identity. Supposedlyl, they're gonna start killing off those weekly kryptonite evil-freaks and focus more on Superman himself next season. I'll be waiting for that.

Sounds decent. Do they have rights to use any of the Batman characters? Could they have the riddler or two-face? It's not like so much time has passed, they should all be around.

I think stargate did the effects for it. I am not sure but the name sounds way to familiar.. its been a while since that name popped up into my head.

Don't know if Birds of Prey will turn out to be any good. Looks kind of like another "Charmed". But I will still give it a chance to see if it really does work out. Smallville turned out to be pretty great, but that one had good promise. They are trying to work in a young Bruce Wayne into Smallville, but are having some problems now with the new Superman vs. Batman movie interfering.

this sounds like it's gonna suck...

what are they gonna do with "robin" or commissioner gordan (prolly dead).

i find this "corruption" of the classics kinda wrong...

A spoof of a spoof!? Hmm.

Batman was a spoof, to begin with. I have 8hrs of the original Batman TV show recorded when I found it playing on cable before we cancelled our service. :) I also have the original movie, and the movie's sound track on cassette tape :D

I'm agreeing with the "Charmed"-esque viewpoint.

I would also like to point out something at the very end of the article -- developed by television by the same genius who brought us Tomb Raider.

'nuff said.

Good god, I think I should avoid this. I really like Batman when they keep to the comics, not when they go Hollywood. To me, this looks like a Batman and Robin (or whatever the last Batman movie was) crossed with Charlie's Angels. I haven't seen either movie and I never will. All I know is that looked cheesy and stupid.

Charlie's angels is good for a quick no brainer movie. Not Batman+Robin though. Stay away. There should be international human rights laws to protect against this monstrosity.

The first (newer) Batman movie was the best IMHO. The second was ok but the penguin messed it up a bit. Third was cool but only because of Jim Carey as the riddler....the last sucked BIG TIME. Plus the car got flimsey and not as cool as the first movie's.

I've only seen the entire first 2 movies. I've seen parts of Batman Forever but that's it. I've never seen the other or others. The first one is by far the best Batman movie in my opinion too.
