Have you ever won anything in your life?

I have a few times. When it happens it comes has a shock to me. I won on the radio twice and one time on the tv. A couple times at a fair for free stuff. that all I remember so far.

I won a book on .NET My Services. It is a specification book based on beta code.

It just takes room in my shelf and I never looked at it after glancing over a bunch of code for 2 minutes.

I won a trivia contest on the radio once. I won tickets for two to a dinner theater.

The dinner and the show both sucked. :disgust:

But do did my date....so it was a worthwile evening.

I won a frozen turkey at the mall once, which was especially odd because I never entered any contest. They announced my name over the PA system and I picked up my "prize" at the CS desk. Weird.

I won a laptop at my high school graduation party a few years back. It was a pretty nice one at the time too, K6-2 333MHz, 13.3" screen, 4.3gig HD, 32megs of ram, etc.....The drawing was held that last hour of the graduation party and it was like 5am in the morning. I was half asleep and they called my name on the PA system. It was sort of a weird morning, I was happy, but I was falling asleep driving home.

I've won an autographed album by Supertramp (Even In The Quietest Moments) from being the NNth caller at the local radio station, also won a Black Hole (the movie) T-Shirt, soundtrack album, & pin the same way (oh boy

). Won a $50 gift certificate to a local clothier from winning a contest where you voted for local business's popularity.

Oh, and when I was in grade school, I won the box of CrackerJacks in my lunch -kd5-

First drawing each ticket was $5 each, I bought 20, so $100

I ended up winning a $10 t-shirt

4 months later, another drawing, each ticket was $1, I bought 20, so $20

I won a computer, Athlon 1.2Ghz, 256MB RAM GeForce2 GTS, etc this was last July.

I won $1000.00 whne the lottery first came to Virginia. It was a scratch off ticket. Besides that I haven't won anything.
