Have you ever typed a huge thread, but then at the end...

.... decided that it was completely stupid and don't know what you were thinking while typing it? I just had one of those a minute ago... I do this about once a day... Who else does this...

Yeah, but I usually end up hitting "post" anyway... ;)

Guess if I already did all that work...

Yeah, I'm doing it quite often. But my problem is that I post it first, and only then realize that it's completely stupid, when it's already too late to do anything.

No, I haven't been in such situation before. However, I have been in situations where I typed up something long and was sure of myself, but I gauged what the responses would be. And my conclusion was that they would provoke responses that weren't worth it, so I tossed away what I had written and didn't respond at all. It doesn't happen very often, though.

No, but I've typed a guge thread, hit "psot" and got a "page not found" error. Then hit back and get the same damn "page not found" error, or just have the post new thread page come up empty :|

I first did that a couple of days after I became a member. I learned my mistake from that...;)

I do it a lot, even for stuff that isn't that long. I always have to think whether others will appreciate what I've written. It's the whole point of writing in the first place, no? And I'm inherently shy so even in real conversation I'll often shut up, esp. if others have something to say.
