Have you ever tried to do something right

I've been convinced that free music downloading just isn't worth it, but I can't say the same for a certain family member. She thinks that using windows media player's guide, then downloading music from it, is "new" and "cool" and that there's no way that she'll get caught.

Only problem is, I don't have specific downsides, because I've never used this thing before. Any info?

what an odd topic to relate to this story. I understood it, kind of. no help for you though, sorry.

wth are you asking/stating? are you saying its wrong for your family member to download the songs they offer for free from the media guide in windows media player?

If thats what you're asking, why would it be wrong?

Have you ever been convinced that something was morally wrong, and attempted to take the moral high ground, only to have other people laugh at you because you're wrong?

While I commend you on trying to keep your sister/mother/cousin/grandma out of prison, I think you may be confused on this one - that or you've done an excellent job confusing me. Not all downloaded music is illegal by any means - downloading music without permission of the publisher for free is.

While I've not used the media guide in WMP, I'd be amazed for the free selections available through it to be anything other than legal downloads. Just now opening it up I see...argh, the Beasty Boys are back together...ok, closing that. Close one. Anyway. While I had it opened I saw nothing but content that is perfectly legal to stream, or download if a download is offered.
